ITV show Take Me Out has been axed, it has been confirmed tonight. The hit dating show hosted by Paddy McGuinness managed 11 seasons.
Here, sales manager Jade reveals to the Manchester Evening News exactly what happens once the dates have been matched in the studio. Jade explained that after being separated from her date, Ollie, the girls who were successful boarded an EasyJet flight together for a two night stay on the Spanish island. Then we moved hotels the second night to one in the main area of Tenerife. When the couples reunite in Fernandos, the date begins. We had a romantic meal, but it was really awkward. It feels really good. Take Me Out is as popular as ever in terms of how many girls and boys applied, which is great. When you’ve got a show that’s established, that everyone knows, the girls and boys feel more comfortable applying for it, as they know what it’s all about. I see it with our audience too. We have people in every single night, it’s always ram-packed and there’s always a good atmosphere.

The series, presented by comedian Paddy McGuinness and synonymous with his catchphrase ‘no likey, no lighty’, has been filmed at Maidstone Studios since It has become a cult Saturday night classic, with viewers regularly tuning in to see dozens of single girls unleashed into the dating arena, where eligible single men will then be revealed one by one via the Love Lift.

Drop everything: your favourite match making show just got cancelled. But the question is why? Why was Take Me Out cancelled and what else is there need to know? Unfortunately, the exact reasons why the TV classic is being taken off our screens are fairly unclear. In fact, things have been a little vague. It’s sad to see the end of such an iconic show but we have lots of exciting projects with the channel lined up.

Nicolle filmed the show between October and December after applying for fun early last year. So the first day was a bit of a blur — it was a really surreal experience. He really looks after you and is almost like a big brother to all the girls. Nicolle currently works as a waitress in the Langholm Farm Tearoom in Symington and the Taj in Prestwick as well as her work as a dance teacher. She broke the news on Facebook just hours before making her first appearance on Take Me Out and received hundreds of likes from friends and family.
